Hampshire mum says Tesco suspended her for purple hairstyle – Time for a reality check Hampshire Mum

Time for a reality check lady.

Most companies whose business relies on their staff dealing with the public will have some kind of dress code. This certainly isn’t deserving of a spot in the local newspaper.

Everyone has to compromise at some time in their life. Suck it up. Christine Padfield, it’s your turn. Personally, based on the photo in the paper, I would find you intimidating. If I were you I would look a little deeper and see if they were trying to gently inform you about other issues.

  1. Get a reality check, indeed you should eat your own words. Oh I have body art, wow I hear you say, she must be rough. Like I said I have been employed by tesco for 13 yrs now and have never had any problem. Grow up or shut up cos your opinion means nothing. Don’t judge me until you know me !!!!

    • You are right, I don’t know you and it is unlikely that I will ever know you even if I was using the store where you work. You have also made assumptions about me. I am not offended or put off by body art. I have granddaughters with tatoos, bars and rings who have also gone for various hair styles and colours. I don’t always agree with their choices either. However, if I had a choice of who served me in a shop or bank then I would prefer it to be someone who doesn’t intimidate me by their appearance.
