Justice ⚖

You makes your choices in life, then you reap the rewards of your actions.

Shamima Begum chose the jihadi path when she left the UK to join Islamic State. She was not ignorant of the world view on terrorism, yet she still went ahead.

Now she wants to come back to the UK, to fight for her citizenship. Citizenship of the country, on which she turned her back.

BBC News – Shamima Begum cannot return to UK, Supreme Court rules https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-56209007

The Supreme Court have made the right decision, confirming that Begum should not be allowed back to the UK, to fight for British citizenship.

“Unduly Lenient”

So says the Attorney General with reference to the sentences handed down to the killers of PC Andrew Harper.

Who could not agree with Suella Braverman when she says that attacks against emergency workers should be “punished with the greatest severity for such heinous crimes”

Henry Long, Albert Bowers and Jessie Cole were all cleared (wrongly in my opinion) of murder charges but were convicted of manslaughter.

Long was sentenced to 16 years whilst Bowers and Cole were each sentenced to 13 years.

The Attorney General has referred the sentences to the Court of Appeal.

Lets hope that the Court of Appeal will deliver the justice deserved by PC Harper.
