Shame on Tescos and Shame On The Police
Woman took thrown out Tesco food handcuffed and arrested.
Shame on Tescos if they reported this lady for taking food that they had thrown away.
Shame on the Police and the Crown Prosecution Service if they pursue this through the courts.

Carole King – Happy Birthday

Being in my fifties, one of the most heavily played albums in my vinyl collection is “Tapestry” by the inimitable Carole King. The vinyl has been relegated to storage as I don’t have a deck to play it on so it has now been replaced by CD and of course MP3.
This album still gives me great pleasure and I apologise as I probably cause all dogs and cats in our neighbourhood to “sing” along with my own vocal renditions
So I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge
Thank you Carole & Happy Birthday
Call NHS Direct to book GP appointments, patients to be told – Telegraph
This is total bollocks.
I can’t even get a non-emergency appointment to see a doctor when I’m stood in my doctors surgery. I’m told to call up on the day I would like to be seen !!!
If this is the sort of service I get now just how much better do you think it will be if I have to ring NHS Direct ?
Well I’ll tell you….. It will be 10,000 % worse.
This will be as good as all those other centralised call centre operations that we already have to deal with.
It stinks.

Prisoners will get the vote, Kenneth Clarke says
Once again we prepare to kowtow to the faceless bureaucrats, of the EU & The European Court of Human Rights, who dictate to us how we should behave. Slowly but surely our national identity and our nations right to self-determination is being eroded.
The criminals that inhabit our prisons carried out crimes on British soil so it should be British courts and the British Government that decide their punishment.
Equally, it should be up to us the British people, through our duly elected representatives that decide if these criminals can have the vote.
My view is that they jettisoned their rights when they broke the law. By breaking the law they effectively stuck a finger up at normal decent law-abiding folk. So they don’t have the right to vote.
Given all the other problems that this country has, I do not believe that we should be wasting time and funds debating this.
Its time for Ken Clarke to stand up and tell the EU to butt out

Shock, Horror, Internet Not Private !!!
When will the message get through to all users of todays technology with particular emphasis on blogs and Twitter……
If you publish anything on the internet it is almost a given that it becomes public property.
If you don’t want anyone to know what you are thinking don’t put it into your blog. Don’t tweet it. I think civil servant, Sarah Baskerville, has finally taken that message on board.

Outcasts
Did you watch Outcasts last night ?
I did. And I don’t know what to make of it. I’m not sure that it is of high enough calibre to replace Silent Witness on Monday and Tuesday nights.
Although the concept is interesting I wasn’t hooked by the first episode especially when Mitchell Hoban, the most interesting character, gets the bullet, literally, before the credits. But never mind I’m not going to write it off just yet. The second episode airs tonight so I’ll give a chance.
I’m thinking that this should have been shown on BBC 2 or even BBC3/ BBC4 initially to see what the reaction is.
From posts on other sites I have seen references to Outcasts being just Eastenders, which I detest, in space. An angst ridden drama in space is not what is required to hold my attention during prime viewing time. I want to be entertained, not depressed.
Taking a different tack, did anyone think the technology mix was a bit odd. Made it difficult to set the program in time.
On the one hand we had a super-duper brain scanner. On the other we had clunky radio handsets. Payload would have been an issue for a 5 year space journey so surely they would have gone for the lightest, most space-saving technologies available. Even my Blackberry is smaller than the units they were using.
Well, bring on Episode 2. Lets see if the Beeb can redeem themselves.
Have A Go Pensioner – Go Girl
Wow
That’s all I can say. Just saw this on the news this evening. This lady deserves a medal but in this addled country of ours she is more likely to be prosecuted for assault.
It’s a shame there aren’t more like her in this country.
Take a look at the following courtesy of ITV News ….

Best Wishes To Renault’s Robert Kubica
Best wishes to Robert Kubica for a swift recovery following his crash on Sunday.
F1 in particular and motor Sport in general needs this mans talent. With the F1 season due to start in a few weeks an essential element of spice is going to be missing from the mix.

Gary Moore – Legend
The world is a sadder place following the news that blues guitarist Gary Moore has passed away.
Gary was one of the worlds most revered guitarists who shared the stage with many heroes of the blues and rock genre including B.B. & Albert King, Colosseum, Greg Lake, Thin Lizzy and Skid Row. It is through his playing with Skid Row that I first encountered Gary and became an avid fan. I was introduced to the album, Skid, by some enlightened friends. Bob & Sue …. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. Skid was the first album for Skid Row and was released back in 1970 when Gary would have been just 18. I remember being impressed with his speed and dexterity.
And now I’ve just realised that he and I shared the same year of birth and that he didn’t quite make it to his 59th birthday.
58 is no age at all.
