Frustration


Today my wife received a text from our local GP Surgery, inviting her to make an appointment to have the Covid-19 vaccine.

Within 10 minutes, of receiving the text, we had contacted the surgery only to be told that they were not making anymore vaccination appointments.

Apparently there are vaccine supply issues !!!

This is not an auspicious start to the roll out of the vaccine.

Given the accelerated spread of Covid-19 these are scary times. So to be offered the vaccine, then to have it snatched away, is very frustrating.

Shame For The USA


I feel for the US people today.

Unbelievable and disgraceful scenes in Washington have been caused by Trumps earlier incitement. He now has to accept responsibility for what has occurred in the Capitol.

The critics and enemies of the west, in general, and the USA specifically, will be leaping for joy. They surely cannot believe their luck as they watch the symbolic pinnacle of democracy in a state of chaos. Trump and his supporters have achieved what the haters and dissenters have not.

Biden was spot on when he called for order, accusing the rioting Trump supporters of “insurrection “. He also, quite rightly, called on Trump to tell his people to back down.

Unfortunately Trump, instead of going on TV, has issued twitter call for his people to “go home”. This was insipid at best.

Of huge concern now must be how Biden can possibly heal the broken United States of America.
