The civil service seems to be living in a parallel universe.

“The civil service seems to be living in a parallel universe.”

So says Tory MP Philip Davies who went on to say “It just goes to show how much more Whitehall waste the Government can cut,” This in response to the revelations that Civil servants can receive compensation for clothes damaged at work even if they are to blame.

It beggars belief that civil servants can accept these perks at the tax payers expense. Once again we are finding out that the civil service are taking us, the tax payers, for a ride.

Now that the news has broken let’s hope that Cameron takes swift action to see that this perk is quashed else he will have to make it law that the private sector has to offer the same perks. And we all know what the likelihood of that happening is.

Don’t we ?
